The customer Fabricaciones y Montajes Mecánicos (FAYMM) is a Spanish company dedicated to the manufacture and assembly of very high precision metal parts and assemblies, for sectors such as: automotive, aeronautics, defence, it relies on FERROTALL for its machinery renewal plan, with the new acquisition of the GROB G550 5-axis universal machining centre.

Problem

Fabricaciones y Montajes Mecánicos (FAYMM) was looking for the renewal of its machining park to promote a higher performance in both quality and quantity of production and continue with its strategy of transformation to Industry 4.0

Solution

After consulting with Ferrotall and after the good user experience FAYMM had with the GROB brand, they opted for the G550 Universal Machining Center with the GROB 4 Pilot control system. A state-of-the-art control system, consisting of a multifunctional user interface, capable of CAD/CAM visualization and a complete digital production process on the machine, (paperless production through access to the ERP,MES,PLM and TDM system, as well as the GROB NET4Industry platform).

The installation and commissioning has been carried out by our technical service, specialized in this type of machines and it is the only official technical service in Spain accredited by the German manufacturer GrWithout a doubt a quality jump for FAYMM and its installations that brings it closer to its objective.
